CANCELLED ***Tarot Club *** The Lovers & Three of Swords
*****cancelled*****
THURSDAY 11 sEPTEMBER, 19:30 TO 21:00 CET - CENTRAL EUROPE TIME
Please note that this month's Tarot Club is held at 19:30 to 21:00 Central European Time. If you are based in the UK, the time will be an hour behind 18:30 to 20:00.
In September, we’ll be going from elation to heartbreak and discussing The Lovers and Three of Swords. The Lovers card is one that most people enjoy popping up in a reading. On a basic level, it can signify many things, from a difficult choice to be made to the start of a new relationship. And yet, it is worth remembering that Crowley referred to the card as one of “...the most obscure and difficult of the Atu”.
The Three of Swords, also known as Sorrow in some decks, brings with it all things related to heartbreak. We’ll explore stories of star-crossed lovers from literature and film, reflecting on the Rider Waite Colman Smith Lovers archetype as we ask how Western patriarchal ideas about love and relationships shape the way we connect, commit, and open our hearts.
